Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425ºF. Grease 4 ramekins and set aside.

Step 2

Combine chocolate and butter in medium saucepan and heat over medium-low heat. Stir frequently, until melted.

Step 3

Whisk in cinnamon, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth.

Step 4

Add egg yolks and eggs and mix until smooth.

Step 5

Whisk in flour until smooth.

Step 6

Divide the batter evenly among the ramekins.

Step 7

Bake in preheated oven for 13 minutes.

Step 8

While the cakes are baking, beat the whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.

Step 9

When the cakes are done, remove from oven and allow to stand for 1 minute. Run a knife around the edge of each cup and carefully invert each cup onto an individual serving plate.

Step 10

Add a dollop of sweetened whipped cream and garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves. Serve immediately.
