This easy granola recipe can be customized with your favorite nuts, seeds, and dried fruit. (You can also leave the nuts out for those with nut allergies.) We like to put our granola in pint-size jars and tie a gift tag around the lid. If you have a lot of friends, double the recipe to make a big batch!

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, and salt. Using a rubber spatula, stir until well mixed.

Step 3

Drizzle the coconut oil and maple syrup over the oat mixture. Stir well until the oil and maple syrup is coating everything.

Step 4

Pour the granola into the baking sheet and spread it into an even layer with the spatula.

Step 5

Ask an adult to help with baking the granola, stirring it around the baking sheet after about 10 minutes, until lightly golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes total.

Step 6

Let the granola cool to room temperature in the pan, then transfer to a large bowl and stir in the dried fruit. Spoon the granola into jars, seal, and store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
